Boris Snow Filter

Boris Continuum Complete's Snow filter is an auto-animated snow generator. The filter offers extensive options and allows you to create drifts or make flakes pile up along the edges of an alpha channel.

The free BCC Snow filter offer expires on March 1, 2008. You must install the filter before this date.

Tutorial: Make it Snow with the Boris Snow Filter

What good is a snow effect if the snow does not stick to the horizontal surfaces in the shot? The Boris Snow filter can make snow do just that, creating a realistic look for your wintry scenes. The Snow generator is featured in just about every Boris product, including Continuum Complete (BCC), Graffiti, RED, and Boris FX. It works especially well with text captions, creating snow that accumulates on top of the letters for a natural look. Best of all, BCC allows you to create this effect right in your NLE!

"BCC 5 is an exceptional plug-in set, and I could go on for hours about all the effects and how great they are. The amount of thought that went into this plug-in set is obvious, and Boris is moving this plug-in set forward by leaps and bounds. Don't let the $895 price tag scare you away, as there are a few plug-ins in this set that if you were to buy separately, would almost cost you the same as BCC 5."
- Creative Mac

"A job is not 'complete' until it's been run through Continuum Complete. No matter what kind of job it is: from keying to motion tracking or grading to uprezing, BCC has something for everyone."
- Post Magazine

"BCC 5 has a high-end feature set that lets you create top-notch results within minutes."
- Studio Monthly

"A great addition to the arsenal of filters for most professional setups."
- DV

"You might be able to find standalone plug-ins to do a lot of these tasks, but buying them as a unified set like this makes very good sense both economically and from a workflow point of view."
- Digital Arts

So here's your answer to this post. I am an AE user and free effects are always great. It's a little late in the year to be using snow effects in Florida. Maybe for Christmas in July...
