One answer is Screen Monkey from the UK, freeware, plays DVDs, does a good job with PPT, video input. It just does not do Win 7 64 bit well right now.

As for the Bibles, e-sword is free and you can buy versions of the Bible that does not come with it for a reasonably good price.

We left Sunday Plus because of the need for DVD playback and WEB. If they had gone ahead with SP 2.5 with those features, we would still be there.

I could not handle the way EW handled text after being used to SP's text routine. MS was more like it. It is a hard program to learn because it does so much, but we are not looking back.

EasyWorship has always been able to play video files. And, since version 2006, it has been able to play DVD clips.

Definitely the ease of use and the quality and features of EasyWorship is what keeps us from switching to anything else.

I have used Sunday Plus, Easy Worship, and Media shout. Easy Worship wins hands down for us. Easy Worship is easy and does a lot.

Sunday Plus is dead. They haven't updated in years.

Media Shout may be fine if you have someone who is willing to put in tons of hous/days learning how to make it do what you want. It seems to be able to do anything under the sun but I am not so sure software for presentations should. We use a DVD player for dvd's and Computer for lyrics and bible. My experience in using the free demo is that it was way to complicated for me to learn fully in 30 days or whatever the time is. I have not seen recent updates of it but I know of 2 places I have been that were using it and it crashed on both of them.

Anyway my advice is that whatever you get don't forget to consider the cost of handing it off to another if you leave. Media Shout has a very intimidating learning curve.

We run WH at our church.
When choosing software for our church, I spent a weekend running the downloadable demos to make a choice. Worship-Him! was the only program that did everything I asked it to do without some sort of issue.

The developer (Woodie Morris) is also tech support.
He is committed, and very responsive with a habit up updating at ferret's pace.

We could not be happier with it.

I even started a user forum for it.

It Seems To Be Easier To Use Than "mediashout" And Packs Most Of The Features, At A Much More Palatable Price.

If You All Could Give Me Any Recommendations With Positives And Negatives Of Those That You Are Familiar With, They Will Be Greatly Appreciatted. There May Be Reasons The Others Are More Expensive That I Have Not Considered. I Just Dont Want To Spend The Churches Money Without Thoroughly Researching The Decision And Regretting It Later. Thanks
I have also used Easy Worship, but changed to Worship Him, to be able to categorise songs, later I found WORSHIP-LIVE, which changed my world. It was far better with song database, plus other rich features for projection, Comparable it is the best to me, and comes at a reasonable cost of $250, for the full Gold version, and $150 for the less featured version.

Just curious what categorizing songs does for you? I haven't felt the need but am curious what I may be missing out on. The search feature is so fast that to add a song takes mere seconds and we have 100's of songs.

Anyway just thought I would ask.

I could see categorizing songs based on their source, i.c. which song book or hymnal they come from. We use the 3-digit song # as the first part of the filename, ie 050 Amazing Grace, as there are numerous sources with different verses/arrangements.

Media Shout is the only program I have used, other than Power Point. It can be time consuming to create a script, but if someone does that and then volunteers operate it on Sunday it is simple for them.

Worship Live

I have had the opportunity to try all three, but I ended up opting for Worship Live Gold, at ($250). It was the best decision since its feature rich and affordable. Check that too, before making a decision.
