Most cost effective worship software?

We need to get some worship software asap. I need a small learning curve...at least for the basics. But I need it to be cost effective! We're on a very slim budget at the moment.

Any help you can give will be great. I really need to be able to use a video loop with text over the top. It's for the sermon...but I want to use a video backdrop rather than a standard slide.

At our church, we use Easy worship...It's a very easy program to use, and you can do almost anything you want to do with it. The cost is $400.00 and you get a Site licence...that means that you can use it on multiple computers within your church campus. I love it because it's so easy to use. They give you a free trial....www.easyworship.com

I hope this helps

There's a whole bunch out there, but I think Media Shout and Easy Worship are the 2 main ones. Search the threads and you'll get plenty of reviews about each.

We use SundayPlus which is easy to use and they're supposed to be coming out with a great upgrade soon. The upgrade, from what I hear, will be able to incorperate Powerpoint better and also let you play DVDs internally. (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
(oh and you can also do loops with text on either still backgrounds or video backgrounds)

Everyone has their favorite, but for ease of use, we have found Sunday plus to be good for lay people to learn. I have tried Media Shout and found it to be a great program, but not as user friendly. I think that sundayplus.com has a free demo download, so you can try before you buy. At least they did when we were purchasing

If you want REALLY cost effective, visit our own Dan Roth's http://freeforchurches.com/. He's got a list of free ones there. They might not work, but for free, it's worth a try.

There is also opensong.org. A very good simple program for displaying words and keeping a database of your songs.

EasyWorship recently released their latest version EW2006 - and it is awesome.
It's ability to play DVDs is really great - better than any other that I've seen. Sure, it plays video loops behind your worship, has native support for PowerPoint, etc...

Download the free trial - you won't be disappointed.

One note though, each of the worship software solutions available require more out of your computer than is in most basic machines. Look at the recommended system requirements and note that if your machine is not up to par, your experience may suffer.
Don't use the "minimum system requirements" - go for the "recommended system requirements".

Also, if you have multiple computers at church and many people will assist in putting the schedule together - choose a solution that works good on a network. EasyWorship is great for networks or even instances where one person creates the schedule and emails it to your presentation computer.

SongShowPlus costs $495, but it comes with many built in background visualizations, allowing you to add a lot of color and motion to the backgrounds without purchasing moving backgrounds.

The $495 is for one projection license and as many workstation licenses as you need. Additional projection licenses can be picked up at $95 each.

It also has a real site license. The site license really makes it very cost effective. Take a llook at it and see if it will work for you.

Most cost effective worship software

There is a website, www.ebibleteacher.com that has a list and websites for almost all the major worship software including many freebies. Most of these are barebones but some do now have text over video. Possibly the best thing to do is to go to these websites and download the demos and try each of them. Each software has its strengths and weaknesses
and the best thing to do is to find the one that has the strengths you need the most.

The most cost effective would be Microsoft PowerPoint, but you want to stay clear of that. I use Media Shout in the Youth area and it's ok, but I really enjoyed the easyworship trial that I got once.
