| The drive may need to be initialized first (if it hasn't already been formatted). Right click on Computer > Manage > Disk Manager You should see the hard drive listed. It may show as unpartitioned or might ask you to initialize it. You can initialize and partition it as needed from here. |

| Well, knock me over with a cheese slicer! It was the obvious. Thank. (I had actually looked at Disk Management one time before and nothing showed. But this time it popped right up saying there was a drive that needed to be initialized. I should have known to look again - I tried everything else at least twice!!!) |
