System Recovery Problem

I have a Gateway convertible notebook that has recently began running sluggish and frankly kinda weird so I decided to use the restore disk and just start over. I replaced the 60 gig hard drive with a 250 gig hard drive a few months ago, so I figured it was smart to try it first with the old 60 gig and leave my 250 gig alone until I proved it would work.

I reinstalled the 60 gig and performed the restore on it. After the restore was complete, it askes you to reboot the computer. When rebooting it displays the message "NTLDR is compressed" and then "Press CNTRL, ALT, DELETE to restart". Of course doing that reboots the computer, but brings it back to the same message. What do I need to do here?

You'll need to use your recovery disk and go into Microsoft's Recovery Console. Here's some directions from HP on how to do it. The process is the same, no matter who the manufacturer is.
