I need your critique

I just redesigned our website last week and I need you to tell me what is good and what's bad about it.

Thanks in advance.

Hey! Extra credit for putting service times, address and contact information on the front page!

It'd be nice to see some individual contact information for your staff members. You don't want to just throw their email address in a mailto: link (spam-bots would have a field day) but there are clever ways around that.

On your About Us > Worship Services page, it'd be cool to see a description of your services. Something to give site visitors a vibe on what they can expect.

One overall suggestion: use a global CSS page to give your site an overall "look". Most of your content pages look like basic, default HTML. That's actually GOOD in the sense that you're not weighing down the browser with unnecessary bandwidth-hogging stuff, but the end result is that it looks dated.

Great work!

I agree with Peter's thoughts completely. In addition:

-- Why can't I click the items in the "Coming Soon" list for more info? I have no idea what a "Stretch Celebration" is...

-- Some of the items in the rotating message on the home page are clickable, some aren't. Seems odd.

-- I can click some nav items (About Us, Donations), but I can't click others. All should be clickable to a new page, with or without dropdowns under them.

-- The contact page is solid, but why can't I send you an email, or reach you on Facebook or Twitter?

-- Who is Aquacept Technologies? Is that you? In any case, unless they volunteered their time to build the site and their footer link is part of their "payment", that needs to go. If you paid for the site, they need to get their junk off of it.

-- I have a 4 year old. I assume you have an nursery or something, but I can't find anything about it on the site. Your "worship services" page should have links to all of that kind of information.

Thanks,
Mickey

Your site depends on javascript for navigation, you should have navigation other than that on the site, to make sure that search engines can properly find all of your pages (there is back and forth on how much google will read javascript links, IMO, it is best to always give them definite links.

For a bot hitting your site that cannot process javascript, here is what they see:

This is the week! For the last 5 years we have been on a journey to erect a new house for the Lord and now the time has come to prepare for the grand entrance and the ministry that will begin. Five years we have concentrated on this single task and now we are there. We close one chapter and we open another. It seems like a dream come true. All of you must be excited. This is a special time for us as we celebrate not our birthdays, retirements, or anniversaries. We celebrate God. Remember it is a full weekend. We will have service Saturday and four times Sunday. We will close the day with St. Paul Baptist and Dr. Lance Watson being our guest. We will salute homebuyers at that evening service and we need each person who has purchased a home while we were building to call the church office this week. We will have special seats for you at the evening service next Sunday.

Agreed agreed agreed... Javascript for navigation is a no-no... Best practice is XHTML and CSS.

I also see a lot of tables... another no-no. Stick to tableless css and XHTML
