Our site

Hi, I would like everyone to take a look at our church site and let us know what you think.

All comments welcome.

soncoast.org

We are working on getting all content into our site, so there may be some links that are not active.

Thanks

Nice. Clean, simple, easy to navigate, easy to find service times and location. I might add a page with them (service times and the address) and add a link to it in the menu, too. Depending on their screen size, they may see the menu before the boxes below with the info.

Regarding the header graphic, I find my eyes going to "A Place of Grace" before "Son Coast". Maybe if you flipped the image, and put "Son Coast" on the left, then the logo, then the "A Place of Grace"?

It's a great site, but in the interest of providing some constructive criticism, here are some quick thoughts:

-- Copyright 2009 in footer
-- Primary nav items aren't clickable (must choose a sub-item; bad usability)
-- Needs www canonicalization
-- Page titles should include your city
-- I love Google Calendar for the calendar, and I recommend it often to churches, but you send me to an orphan page for it; where's the navigation on that page?
-- Need photos of staff members. If I'm coming to meet "Elizabeth" this Sunday, I'd like to know what she looks like ahead of time.
-- Add more photos. Seems the only one is the baptism photo on the home page.
-- Add a section about your facility so I can see where the preschool is, etc.
-- On the Womens page, you tell people to "see our online calendar". Link to to it. Link, link link.
-- Is the church not on Facebook and Twitter? Why not?

That's a good start. Hope it helps!
