New Church Design

We are in the midst of working on a redesign for UBNC...

Looks good so far - much better than the old one. You'll find many Joomla user's here (including myself).

I'd go into J!'s global configuration and change the meta data for the keywords and description, so they are relevant to your church. Currently you have the Joomla defaults -
<meta name="keywords" content="joomla, Joomla" />
<meta name="description" content="Joomla! - the dynamic portal engine and content management system" />

I see a whole lot of extra stuff in the source code, right at the beginning of the body.....

Yep. I see the Joomla stuff in there. The "extra" header stuff is all needed... It's not that much just a handful of lines...

Right below <body> there is a section commented  that appears to be full of spam links.

it is better than the old site. however beware of using flash just for the sake of it. a nice static page can load faster and still get every bit of information across.

i do like the color change from blues to browns .

I like it! I like the changing photo at the front and it seems well organized.
