Webcast Viewer Demographics?

Those of you who are currently offering live webcasts of your worship services and/or sermons, tell me about your typical audience. I'm interested in age range, gender and anything else you can share about your audience's demographics.

We don't have a measurable age range or gender selection that significantly outweighs another, however, I can say that the demographic consists of people who are too busy, too lazy, or too tired to come to church. We also have a handful of members who watch from overseas and other locations abroad because they are in the military, away on business, or they have permanently relocated but have not found a new home church.

Thanks, Ted. One would suspect that live webcasts of a worship service do not attract shut-ins or otherwise older people simply because they may not be computer saavy or have high speed access. I don't want to paint with a broad brush because my 79 year old mother has a great computer and high speed. But, you get my drift. I suspect a younger crowd, maybe 40 and below. Anyone else have any tangiable info?

Also, how many viewers are you attracting. How did you determine how much bandwidth to expense?

For us at least, i think a significant portion of our webcast watchers are in the older generation. Located in a cold, norther climate, we have a lot of "snow birds" that migrate south for the winter. Some of these are regular webcast viewers. Sometimes, they want to see a special event like their great grandchild get baptized or a Cristmas program.
We also have some military persons watch overseas.
Some college kids might watch too (very few, though).
Also, people who cannot attend due to sickness will watch.
I've even had some weekend warrior campers tune in.
