Computer Post video to website .vs. saleing DVD

Hello all. I am not new to the ministry; however, we are looking at taking the ministry to the next level. We have been saleing CD for years but is now questioning should we attempt to sale DVDs or just post Pator's sermon to our website.

Pastor is not 100% which direction to take, but wants the teams input. Has anyone compared the two (saleing DVDs or posting free to website) and decided on one or the other? If so, what was the reason for your selection besides the basic - money or souls?

Any input you can give me on this will be greatly appreciated.

Also, if possible, can I get feedback asap, as I will be meeting w/ the Pastor tomorrow afternoon to discuss

We offer CD (have sold very few) DVD (sell 1-2/wk) and post to our website. We have several members who started attending our church after viewing our pastor's message on the web.

if it's just the sermon, i'd suggest the website (presuming the pastor preaches good sermons)

if it's the whole worship service, then DVD would be necessary b/c of copyright issues

We've had sermon audio on the web for years, and about a year ago added video as well. We have very few (like one every 2 months) requests for physical media. In that regard, it's simpler to use the web. Sure, we could make more money selling than posting-for-free, but it's more hassle.

We get on average 10-20 (but wow, a freak peak of 154) views per sermon video. Not sure what's up with that 154; maybe it's just a really good sermon. Audio, 50-200 hits a month; it varies. Perhaps the best reason to go with the web rather than physical media is that you have potentially much greater exposure. Some guy stumbles by your site, looks at the list of sermon topics, and says "ooh, I think I want to watch (or listen to) that one" -- he can't do that if he has to be on site the day of the recording.
