Different format

Hello,
1. Currently I'm makeing a new web site, but I' want to add some video files.
I want to know which format is best, for example Quality, file size etc. Which file is best between FLV of WMV.

2. Can someone help me to find couple of sites for web players (free and/or pay). I can embed default windows media player to my web page ! but i like to add some flashy players to my web page to play those video files. pls help.

I use flv... it is more cross platform friendly... try the jw mediaplayer free from non-commercial use
