| Sharing our "Video Christmas Card" I wanted to share a video we created as a video Christmas card. It's our first music/devotional video but not our last. We're so pleased with this one that we are already planning future versions. You guys might like to know it was shot in a tiny, 9x12 office-like room in five scenes. We shot each scene with three cameras. Unfortunately they were SD Panasonic DV cameras which we used because we have three of them and wanted to have the look of the video match. The tripods are cheap, make that very cheap, $140 video tripods. We had a track with some of the instruments to follow but everyone you see in the video is really playing and being recorded for the final mix. They are not playing over their track. We added them to the tracks. All-in-all there are about 24 tracks to make this song. You will notice they were listening to the track with wired in-ears. We recorded the audio additions 2 tracks at a time via a M-Audio interface into Garage Band running on a old MacBook Pro, mixed it on that machine and then put that audio under the video. We did three takes of the devotional. You are seeing the third take, completely unaltered except for adding the bible verse images. We intend to share it via social media. Our entire staff will post it on their FB wall and ask their friends to share it. Hopefully it will be viewed thousands of times. It is hosted on YouTube so we will get a lot of tracking data from there. I'd hope that hearing all of this might encourage you to try something like this. You can see it doesn't take a fancy studio and tons of the latest gear to do this. Here's a link to the video. Please share it with anyone and everyone. We think the message is one that many people need to hear. Anyway, enjoy the music and the message and have a blessed Christmas!
