Blood Work Video

Yes Blood Work is the title of our next series and we are trying to put together a message intro that is intense but gets the point across. I want to start with a needle going to start a blood transfusion and when it touches the skin I want the camera to do a fast zoom into the needle and then into the tube almost like the camera is part of the flowing blood, I picture it like a person going down a tubed waterslide. I know how to do the first parts but I just don't know how to get the "tube effect" I have after effects and premiere but I don't know where to start for this effect. Can someone point me in the right direction? I have about a week and a half to get this done.

If not does anyone have any ideas on a message intro for a message titled "blood work"? It can be up to about a minute long.

Moved into 3ds Max

Ok so I gave up on making this effect in after effects and went into the 3D Modelling world of 3Ds Max (free trails are awesome) and I have my "tube" that I am using as a vein and I have my modeled blood cell. I also have a camera and a light in the "tube" Now what I don't know how to do is make the blood cells go through the tube at different speeds and different locations. I am completely new at all this so any help I will take.

I don't know much (anything) about 3D software, but I would assume you would use a Particle Emitter, like in After Effects. It would allow you to "emit" the blood cells and have them travel at different speeds within a defined range, as well as keeping them in a certain area, and have them be different sizes if you want. But again, I don't know what you do in 3D programs.
