Say Goodbye to Slideshows

Holy cow, has everyone already seen Animoto?

This has got to be the coolest video gadget on the web, maybe in the known Universe.

I pulled together a short 30 second video in MINUTES from some snapshots taken at our Women's Retreat this past fall. It took me longer to choose the music than anything else!

I'm hoping this url lets you see it. NONE of the photos had pre-treatment. I was just testing.

Have fun.

Yell It's a Winner

Thanks a bunch for finding this site. Your "just testing" worked. I haven't read all the fine print just yet, but from a quick walk through the site, it doesn't seem to be too pricey. This could be fun ... great find.

Animoto is a GREAT resource. My church staff thinks I'm brilliant b/c of it. We paid for the upgrade to custom length videos, and have on occasion paid the upcharge for DVD quality renders. Just don't OVER use it as the results do start looking the same after a bit. They recently added a text feature that's useful but pretty limited. Hopefully it will continue to grow as they develop the application further.

I clearly subscribe to the wrong forums....

Rev65: Did you have to pay for the commercial rate to do that?

Their terms of use seemed aimed at the free or personal options, I wasn't clear at all what could or could not be done for things we might use at the church (with or without a pricey commercial license)

Nice one.
I may use this site incase I want to create a slide show.

I can save time with this, cause it takes awhile putting cool effects in my video editor, esspecialy when we need it in one day.

This would be worth the cost to me in time savings. I make similar slide show videos in Premiere and it's not easy.
