| I noticed someone mentioned towards the beginning of this thread that it would be interesting to have a countdown for the end of service. We recently switched to 3 services on Sunday morning and in so doing cut our services from 90 minutes to 70. So, of course, one of our first concerns was whether our worship leaders and pastor would be able to adjust so we don't run over time. We only allow 15 minutes between services, so staying on time is a must. In order to help us with this adjustment, I began to search for a stage display countdown that would count down to a predetermined time in the service (for us, it counts down to when the pastor needs to begin the invitation after his message). I know some media display programs have built-in capabilities to do this, such as ProPresenter, but we currently use MediaShout 3.5, so we needed a separate program. I came across this countdown timer from Outside The Box Ministries (and I am not affiliated with them in any way), and it is great. At only $35, it is an invaluable tool to help us stay on time. We have it set up on a 20" LCD in the back of the sanctuary in the tech booth so it is only visible to people onstage.
