Live video mixing

Hi!

I serve in Moscow church. Sorry for my english!

Our goal is a live mixing (switching) video from two HD cameras throug Mac Pro to HDMI TV.

I have 3 blackmagic intensity cards (2 for cameras and 1 for output).

Which software can help me? (please, not so expensive: $500-600 max)

I know vMix. It is ideally for us, but it's only for PC...

Thanks!

Alexsokolov,

Hello and welcome.

I have yet to find a computer switching solution which does not add quite a bit of latency (delay) into the video signal. Will that become a problem in your application? Does the audience know the difference between real-time and delayed post-switcher time?

Hi, tdangelo!
I expect it can become a problem. I need send HDMI signal (audio+video) from main hall to small hall, but there is not so long distance between both halls, and people in the small hall can hear sound from big hall.
Another thing which I'm arfaid is asynchronous video and audio

Cost aside, if you standardize on SD-SDI or HD-SDI and embed the audio then it will remain at whatever timebase it was at when embedded until de-embedded in the other room.

How about a little switcher like Panasonic's AW-HS50?
