Sermon Series Bumper (David's Life)

Doing a 10 week series in 1 samuel on David's life... we're really speaking on how people always compare us to david and how we have to overcome the goliaths in life... but how we should be comparing ourselves to israel and christ to david in how he stood in on our behalf...

so this is the sermon bumper for the series...

does it communicate well?
is the timing too fast? too slow?
overall thoughts?

Looks good. It looks like your text is under the vignette layer. Was that by design?

Nice work on vimeo Josh! On this video, I'd make the match moving a little more smooth and distinct. The initial text match doesn't seem to need movement in that scene, unless you add it as floating near the water (add angle to show integration better). Some scenes (timelaps mainly) may be too dark, but just my preference. Do you own a 7d? I'm interested in filming weddings also, but would need to rent one or similar. I'm at vimeo.com/ministryfx if you want to connect. Interested to see what camera dolly etc you use if you made your own for scene shots.

Peace!
Shawn

Nice, I like it. Good music, nice shots, good grade. Only thing I'd say is maybe think about doing more with the text. It looks nice, it's paced well, but maybe softly fading some of the words as you read along, to make the reader focus in more on the later words as they appear. Just something to add a little more motion or interest in the text, but then again, that may not be what your going for. Really like it though, great work!

riafekim,

yeah anytime i add vignettes i'll throw them on top of everything except the adjustment layers and any color correction. i usually do this cause my eye likes the text being in the same sort of depth as the film... that way the vignette is from the lens which is viewing the text and film... and i think if the text is on top of the vignette it makes it looks really computery to me. i dunno.. personal preference i guess.
