TV Program Intro

So . . . . I stole this idea from the "Top Cheif" intro.

My thoughts.
- Should I make the first "church" video less than full screen so you can still see the background?

- I'm not happy with my font - is it just me? (you can tell I don't like it - I quit half way through - lol )

Any other thoughts/reviews are welcome.

(Ignore the exit - the pastor wanted it done yesterday so I just updated a couple pictures - that's a later project!)

Thanks!
Jonathan

The problem with your font is that you can't see it. Usually you want to use light colored lettering with a shadow or some type of semi-transparent background behind the text. Also if all else fails, use Arial or Helvetica. Also your placement is important. In basic art design, they teach us that the center of attention should be a 1/3 from the edge of the picture. Text over video is often referred to as "lower thirds" which applies to this principle.

Also, I think that your intro is a little bit too long. It would have been OK to show the video clip of the building of the building, a few clips of the people worshipping and then "The Grace Place" with the clouds. Cut it all down to 20 seconds and you will have something nice.

I agree with Ted. For an intro it is a little long. Going with a sanserif font will go a long way towards being more readable.

looks great... being picky grab video from other news sources other than just fox

also in the end... if you zoomed out very slightly from the kid jumping off the doc and then had the word fearless come in over your "head". That combined with your white out would add just a bit more punch to the end. The video is so busy (and beautifully so) that when you get to the end it seems too slow and needs just a bit of something

but honestly it's really nice.

yea i would seperate all the object of the final graphic out in photoshop... like the boy... and clone stamp the hole in ... and do the same to all the other objects and have them do the most subtle zoom .. instaed of just going to a still image with pretty old school font type.

Bummer, I don't have a WMV player, need to download the windows media player for mac. Well... this post has been a waist of your time. Sorry. No need to read any further, I'm just rambling now. Just typing to continue to waist your time and my own. Ok, I'm done.

My first thought was, I hope you got permission to use the video clips from the commercial sources. Assuming you did, I thought it was well done technically and creatively but agree that short and to-the-point is always a plus. Nice job!
