Switch Suggestions for JAP

Our church is looking at some digital signage solutions and are pretty impressed with the ease of use and capability of the JAP HDMI over IP system. I'm in charge of getting this together, and while I do have a fair amount of knowledge and experience with computers/technology in general, I've never put together this kind of system before.

I'm mainly looking for suggestions on switch possibilities. We're going to be running 1-3 signals to 10 locations.

I'm also wondering about integrating our projector into the equation. It's currently run through vga right out of the computer. Is there another option to have vga at one location and hdmi at the rest?

Managed Ethernet Switches we have tested and found to be compatible with the Just Add Power HD over IP solution include the following:

1G Systems (most churches are using our more economical 1G for house of worship applications):

Dell PowerConnect 3500 Series (3524, 3524P, 3548, 3548P)
Dell PowerConnect 5400 Series (5424, 5448 )
Dell PowerConnect 6200 Series (6224, 6224P, 6248, 6248P)
Cisco Catalyst 2960
Cisco Catalyst 2960 Gigabit
DLink DES-3226L
Netgear 7000 Series V2 (GSM7224, GSM7228PS, GSM7248, GSM7252PS)
Pakedge SW24-GBM

2G Systems (requires Gigabit for best results):

Dell PowerConnect 5400 Series (5424, 5448 )
Dell PowerConnect 6200 Series (6224, 6224P, 6248, 6248P)
Cisco Catalyst 2960 Gigabit
Netgear 7000 Series V2 (GSM7224, GSM7228PS, GSM7248, GSM7252PS)
Pakedge SW24-GBM

One of the most popular choices is the Dell 3524P. It's a very economical switch that supports Power over Ethernet.

Converting VGA to HDMI is relatively easy. Converting HDMI to VGA is controversial, but we have had good luck with the HD Fury devices.

It should be noted that the HD Fury devices are intended to be connected directly to the display devices as that avoids the issue of it making a high resolution output accessible with HDCP encrypted content, which would get into DMCA and DRM issues regarding circumventing copy protection. The way I understand it is that a HDFury device physically connected to the projector input should not be a problem, however an HDFury device hooked up to a router or distribution device that could send the signal to multiple destinations would be very questionable and an HDFury device connected to or able to be routed to a recording device is almost certainly a DRM violation.
