switcher amplifier or switch to cat 5 &amp

We are installing two projectors Hitachi short throws (3000 lumens) due to lack of space. They are to be run in series-- out from one to in of the other. We have a 150 feet run to the first projector.50 feet to the next. Already have rgb cable most of the way. Signal is degraded somewhat. The switch we have adds noise and no apparent boost. Would it be better to run cat 5 with an amp? Whats involved; a box on both ends to go from rgb back to rgb? Maybe a better quality switcher ( we have a starcraft 2 to one ). Any advice appreciated.

I'll reply to my own post. I found from other sources the needed equip for transmission by cat 5. We'll upgrade to an amplified switch for the RGB. We'll upgrade to a matrix-switcher in the future as budget allows.

You should try a 5 wire DA, (RGBHV Distribution Amplifier). The 150' run is not that bad, we do this quite regularly. I'd run that 150' into the DA then come out of that and into your projectors. Should work great.
