GENLOCK HELP!!!!

Ok so my chuch forever and always has used a genlock to overlay the words on to a video background (e.g video cam and pc words on top). but the last few years we have noticed the amount of genlocks we go though because of hevey cables snaping the soldering joints inside. recently we just bout a brand new on that lasted not even 1 day. i am asking is there any other way of possibly having an overly system with out using a genlock. if so who do we do it, wat do we need ?
if anyone could help us Be much appreshiated fair desperate to get ride of the whole genlock system all together.

The genlock's not the problem. It's the way you're running your cables (possibly even the cables themselves). There shouldn't be ANY strain on the connectors if your cables are run properly -- no matter how heavy they are.

Also, what do you mean by a genlock? Genlock is a synchronization technique, not a device.
