| TVOne started out as a bottom of the line manufacture for video products. I think they have come along way in their career but maybe need a few more quality checks to keep things in line. I've used a fair amount of their products and i've had everything from out of the box failures to perfectly working products. The 2250a is a great working device but be sure you have a few weeks or even months to work with and make sure it's not DOA before you "need" to use it. Oh and btw if you want to connect any Apple products to HDMI connections on TVOne boxes you will have issues. I've even had issues just using DVI between the two. TVOne uses strict timing whereas most others will self calibrate to source. Apple doesn't adhere to the standard which fouls things up. Heck i've had Apple computers that didn't work with certain monitors because of the same issue. crt

| We use a C2-2100 scan converter (I think that is the model number, anyway). It has been a problem-free unit. We did have to place it on a UPS and post a crib sheet of all menu settings. If you lose power, the 2100 forgets your settings. This may not be an issue with your unit, but I would inquire about that. |
