| Adding lcd screens Hi, I am new to the forum. Our church currently has one projector that we use for worship, videos etc. We would like to add a second lcd screen in our overflow section. We are looking at a 40" but I was told by someone that we would need an expensive ($5000) router to make this happen. I am not sure if I am missing something but that sounds like we are being misinformed. Can we just use some type of splitter and possibly an amplifier to make this work? The distance from the computer/dvd is about 45ft. |

| Hi, welcome. If you are feeding your projector with a normal computer VGA signal, you always want to send the overflow screen the same image, and if you get a LCD that has a VGA input it is as easy as putting in a inexpensive active VGA splitter and the appropriate length VGA cable. You should be able to the whole thing for less than $1,500. If you might want to send different signals to the two screens it will take a bit more but not much if you don't care about the transition between the two signals. |
