| Video Splitter - different resolution monitors? We've got a laptop running into VGA splitter that splits to a 15" monitor and a 19" monitor and Benq XGA DLP projector. Someone has said that the splitter reduces all the signals down to the lowest resolution. So because we have a 15" monitor, it may be reducing the quality of the signal to the projector. Can anyone affirm this or shed some light on how we should being setting up our situation? Thanks! |

| Conceputally you're on the right track, but the diagonal measurement is not indicative of the screen resolution. For example, your 15" monitor might be capable of a higher resolution than your projector! You need to lookup the exact make/model of your 3 devices to research their specifications to determine which monitor is the "weakest link".

| The 15" monitor (max resolution is 1024 X 76 is for the pianist to easy be able to follow the songs via of the Powerpoint. The 19" monitor (1280 X 1024) is for the song leader. The Benq projector (PB8253) has native resolution of 1024 X 768 but a max resolution of 1280 X 1024. Will the brightness of the projector be effected by any of this? |

| I'd run the whole show at 1024x768 to match the projector native resolution. If you really want to run at 1280x1024, you're gonna have to replace the 15". Re "Will the brightness of the projector be effected by any of this?" - the answer is no.
