Christmas Theme-The True Light of God

Hi all,
I am working on developing a Christmas/Advent series centered on John 1:9, "The true Light that gives light to all was coming into the world" and am looking for inspiration for visuals, decorations, drama,etc that we can include.
I have basic themes for each week so far:
Week 1: Darkness...sin/need for light
Week 2: Light from the Father: properties of UV light
Week 3: Light from the Son: properties of visible light
Week 4: Light from the Spirit: properties of Infrared light
Week 5:Christmas program involving kids, celebrating the Light of God coming into the world, God places His light within us...

That's about it so far!
Any ideas you'd be willing to share are much appreciated.

The only thing I can come up with is very scientific geeky. But it goes back to how infrared and ultraviolet were discovered. You show the light coming through a prism with a thermometer in the ultraviolet or infrared, showing that there is something there, even if you can't see it.

But I don't see that working well unless your congregation resembles the cast from "The Big Bang Theory"

For the kids program, you should have silhouttes of kids playing in front of a sunrise. Something along these lines

1 - Sign at entrance, Darkness - need for light,
very little light in room except a few things tightly lit from above.
2 - Sign Properties of uv light, Low levels of light in room, UV lights in strategic positions.
3 - Sign, Set up a prism to demonstate light and colors, rainbow lighting in room.
4 - Sign, Use displays to demonstrate infra red light is real although cant usually be seen, may be a IR light source and a target with IR receiver
people can interupt beam with hands, and set off an alarm/buxxer.
5 - Sign, Perhaps a cross high up with a power full light shining down
you know the light of the world.
