| Children storys. My pastor asked me to give a five minute short story to the children before he released them to Sunday school. ![]() I stated that I had no pastoring skills and that I have concerns of stating something incorrectly and it is a big responsibility, perhaps more then my tasks for the full duration of the service as the sound person ![]() But persistence is not his weak point (nor his wife ) and this winter I accepted to do it. Both feel I have a knack for story telling and that I can get my point of view across with on target humor. If any of you could guide me a bit , point the way or your concepts. My outline is fairly simple, as I see it now. 1. Make them feel important as they are the heartbeat and future footsteps of the church. 2. Humor and I do love a play on words. 3. Starting to use "Five minute sermons for children" by Carson-Dellosa Pub Co. 4. Relate it to their day to day problems, school, home choir's, getting along with others etc. I really want to do the best I can and your input it valued. Thank you for your reply. John |

| Thank you Joseph ![]() You inspired me on my next story and I will give them "The Lords Prayer", have a new printer and what could be a better use for it. I will give each new youngster one as they attend the service. ![]() Also a good topic for follow up in coming weeks. Prayer actually brought me here to this forum, and Jesus has never lead me astray....actualyeeee Joseph didn't either. Thanks again...John |

| Don't talk down to them. Treat them with respect.
