The Prayer Effect

We are about to embark on a 6 week series on how prayer effects us as the pray-ers. We've decided to call the series "The Prayer Effect"

We are just finishing up a 4 week series called "Prayer: The Intimate Connection" looking at how Jesus prayed and how we might apply that to our lives.

Then we will have one week on Praying for others.

Then "The Prayer Effect"

This was going to be all one 11 week series on "Learning to Pray as Jesus Prayed", but we talked leadership into splitting it up like thise.

In my mind, I'm picturing a CSI like title screen for the graphics. But I'm not sure why or how well that would fit.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has ideas for "The Prayer Effect"

Thanks.

What about the Butterfly Effect idea... a butterfly flaps its wings in Japan and a Tsunami happens in Hawaii. I say a small prayer here and it changes someones life.

How about ripples in a pond? Or rings emanating out behind hands clasped in prayer?

Indeed. I think it was Phil's link or tutorial I used for the 'fill me up' graphic. There are also some good splash photos on stock.xchng to work from. I haven't searched there for ripple photos recently.

Definitely gonna work on that. Good stuff.

And I can use enough variations, or use the concept with enough different other things to make it last 6 weeks.

Perhaps the concept of a person who asked his Church, family and friends to pray for him a Job, Then went home to watch T.V. and play video games the rest of the week.

Perhaps sometimes we get in the way of our own prayers by an act, impatience, self importance, or a lack of works not within the the will of God. 1John5 13-15

I ended up going with the ripple idea

Since it's a 6 week series, I'll be using a version of this in the lower right corner each week and using the font (Freshbot) as a tie together. To many weeks to use the same graphic week after week.

Nice! At smaller sizes you might want to increase the opacity of the text for readability, the slight blurring works nicely with the image.
