Looking for ideas to get people excited about our video ministry and ways they can help.

Our recruitment videos are short and sweet. They simply say, "Join the video department! No experience necessary! If you are willing to learn we can teach you ANYTHING!" Whenever we decide to run it, we usually get 10 to 15 inquiries and 3 to 4 people actually decide to do it.

not sure how in depth you want to get but we're looking into actually utilizing the pastor in scripting a Sunday morning with technical failures involving announcements where he actually leaves the platform during an announcement sketch to take care of technical issues in our production booth, which will actually be a pre recorded video played through the iMag system into the auditorium.

I like it, and think you should utilize a monkey. Kind of like the Geico people use the cave man, it might be funny. Like we don't have enough tech volunteers so we have resorted to hiring monkeys to take their place. Then photoshop a monkey next to the switcher or running CG....

I like your idea too.

Actually there was an insurance company that used a monkey in their TV ads.. but not to get too far off the topic, we actually tried the "malfuntion" concept and it backfired on us. We did such a good job on the video that we actually fooled people into thinking that it was real!

People all over the building were buzzing our intercom phone left and right in a panic attempting to inform us that the system was having problems!
