Lightbulb Chauvet Colortrack III

I just purchased a couple of mint condition colortrack III (chauvet) units. You can hardly tell they have been used. Anyone have the user manual for these? Chauvet is trying to find one for me, but these have been discontinued for a while. Bright units for 150 watts! Not that I am a chauvet fan, but for the price, I couldn't turn them down.

We bought a package of them years ago (against anything that I suggested). There really is no manual, you just kind of have to play with them until they do what you want them to. Are you using a dmx controller or trying standalone mode?

These are probably lights that you could get away without the user manual. They are only 1 channel each so its not to hard to figure them out. When you setup your DMX chain, get all of the Data cables ran and lights addressed before you plug them in. If that doesnt work, build the chain one light at a time.

Also dont use the 10 dipswitch. I am not for sure but it seems like if you do that it will terminate the dmx data.

DIP Switch # 10 is normally used for the stand alone programs. When that switch is on, the unit does not respond to DMX.

The address of the fixture always use only 9 switches. All the extra switches on any fixture are for the special features.

I'm going to try to find a manual for you just so you have one. It's always nice to have a manual for any fixture, at least I like to have them!

Hope this helps!

Okay, so I wasn't able to find a manual on the fixture, but I did look at a profile of the fixture for a PC Console. Out of that I gathered the DMX traits for the fixture. So here ya go:

One channel:
000 -> 016 - Shutter Close
017 -> 032 - Shutter Open
033 -> 048 - Red
049 -> 064 - Yellow
065 -> 080 - Purple
081 -> 096 - Orange
097 -> 112 - Green1
113 -> 128 - Green2
129 -> 144 - Blue
145 -> 160 - Cyan
161 -> 176 - Magenta
177 -> 192 - Pink
193 -> 224 - Wheel Rotate
225 -> 255 - Strobe

So there ya go, I hope that helps in some way!
