| Most fresnels that use a gy9.5 base type lamp, T25. You can put in a 300w lamp such as 6874p (philips). Its a drop in replacement. 300W versions for most 500W lamps are available. |

| In North America, the most common fresnel lamps (BTL or BTN) use the medium pre-focus base (photo attached). In some cheap knockoffs, you may find a double end lamp. Usually we'll find the gy9.5 bi-post socket in moving lights with arc lamps like the MSD series. Some TV studio fresnels have a medium bi-post lamp that use a G22 socket but those are fairly high end units. SteveV |
