| AV Toolbox modulator/switcher power supply help Hi! We have an AVT-8434 RF modulator/switcher to select inputs to a TV from several sources. Someone dropped the power supply and it broke the cover off the power supply. With no safe way to fix it (they threw out the cover before I found this p/s with the open innards) I bought a 12VDC replacement but don't know if tip is + or - (actually it's a coaxial plug so tip=inside sleeve).
I called AV Toolbox and this is a discontinued item, none are on the shelf to check. To further muddy the waters, they use several diff. power supplies with tip being + on some and - on others (sigh).
They're digging for details for me but I wanted to wrap this up ASAP...so if you have an AVT-8434, could you check the polarity of the power supply?
I also asked if they had the manual as a .pdf as I'm building a folder on our server with the e-version of all our manuals, but they don't think it's available, so if anyone's scanned theirs in, I'd sure appreciate a copy.
Blessings! |
