Old Equipment Junking up your Storage Area?

If the Media Ministry storage closet at your church is anything like the one at mine, it's chock full of old equipment that still works, but is rarely, if ever, used. Rather than let all of that stuff collect dust (and suck up valuable storage space), how about re-deploying it into Kingdom service?

A former member of my church has started Armor Bearer Ministries (www.armorbearerministries.org). Their purpose is to redeploy working A/V equipment to church plants and missionaries in the field. Some missionaries report over 100 people gathered around small TVs to watch the Jesus Film. Just think - how much more effective could their ministry be if they had the proper equipment?

So please - take a look around your storage area - is there something there you don't use any longer that still works? If so, please prayerfully consider donating it to Armor Bearer Ministries.

This is a type of ministry that I've wanted to see at CMN. We've done our share of charity work both covertly and as a community group. We had talked about the "CMN Vault" several times as a project that would be similar. I'd be interested in talking with Mark about his project. I'll be in WI on Nov 13, 2007.
