Awesome Tech Team!

I feel that sometimes the tech guys of church media teams do not get the credit they deserve. There is a lot of work involved with what they do every week. There are 2 people on our Tech Support team for our media crew and they are both very smart. I do not remember a question I have asked that they cannot answer, and they are always willing to do what it takes to further the work of the Kingdom through media. They are both quite experienced in years and are great mentors for even our young team members. For example, there was an audio recording situation for our podcasts recently. They helped me troubleshoot and when the error was discovered, they stayed and built a brand new custom cable to solve the issue. There are other examples I can give, but I just want to say kudos to our Tech Team of our media crew - and to all other media tech support people!

I also want to mention that our media tech support guys even stand in for other team members when needed - no questions asked.

That's part of the reason why those of us on professional crews charge the big bucks!

It's a thankless job but I look at it this way; you can't give honest credit and recognition for something that you don't appriciate. And you cannot appriciate something you don't value. And you cannot value something without understanding its significance.

Many times I go out on venues where the promoter makes it his business to publicly thank all of the stage talent, the DJ, the venue owner, and all of the "behind the scenes" people but never once mention the A/V people. I think that because we are the first to arrive and the last to leave, most people don't see the amount of effort that we put into what we do. But in light of all of the ups and downs, the lack of recognition comes with the territory and I wouldn't have it any other way

media team

My previous post specifically mentioned the tech support team, but our entire media crew team is top notch. Everyone has a job, and they know their job well. Our broadcast directors share the duty by rotating weekly and every one of them is a professional at what they do. Our audio technicians also rotate weekly, but we have multiple boards so they are on duty frequently - audio production is always noticed positively. Web videocasting and podcasting is somewhat new for us but the team members are quite knowledgable. I recently sat down with our Music Minister and he commented on how well our team works together. We always perform our duties for the purpose of glorifying God, and that is the key.

It kind of goes without saying that the Praise and Worship Team gets the thanks and praise for good work while the media ministry gets the complaints...

the old saying...Players win, coaches lose...

Players are in front of everyone...Choir Musicians etc.... coaches are behind the scenes...media people...

But We don't serve for a thanks, we serve for the Father.

"Well done thy good and faithful servant"

that will be enough thanks for me.
