| We just completed the switch from SP to EW, and I understand your initial frustrations... many of those things were bugging me as well. But just like SP took us a while to get comfortable with, so it was with EW. I still don't like the EW Resources directory structure. I kept my SP media files close to the root directory, but EW seems to require that they be buried deep. Still not sure how to work around that... ideas anybody???? As for this: Quote:
![]() The converter for the SP files was a disappointment, as it just seemed to strip all the SP formatting out of the files, and just gave us one big block of text for each song. Before we use each one we'll have to go in and break it into individual slides and re-tag them (verse 1, chorus, etc) I suppose it's easier than starting over, but I was expecting more from a "converter" Other point raised; EW is a site license now... we wouldn't have bought it without that. Too many classrooms. ![]() The ease of adding YouTube Vids to the schedule, and the scripture on the fly was what drew us to EW in the first place, and the $199 price until Dec.31st sealed the deal. ![]() |

| And again, remember that while Media Ministers strive to have wonderful, perfect formatting, the priorities for the Sunday School wing are going to be very different. They just need to to work now and work easy. It's all about assessing the priorities of a specific project.

| Yeah, it's a separate download. While it seems like it would only be useful to those who run EW, they still require you to e-mail support and request a link to the download page for this convertor. |

| The converter is a separate download. Contact me if you want it. It's not really hidden, we just don't have a link to it anywhere on the website or support area. I think it's because the converter is not currently being maintained. If it works, it works, if it doesn't , it doesn't. It does strip out formatting from the other program, cause EW doesn't understand their formatting, but it does save a lot of typing. It's also able to convert other software databases and import ccli .txt files. The SSP portion doesn't work so well. Usually you get a bunch of blank songs with it. Here are a couple of things to check out in EW to help you with the song editor. Open the EasyWorship program then click on the Help menu, contents, contents tab: Songs, Font Sizing Explained, Editing Songs and anything else in that section. Also check out Tips And Tricks, Creating Congregational Prompts. Check out Get To Know Easyworship. That's a great section for getting to know where everything is and what it does. Oh and the cost to transfer from S+ to EW is still $199. See more info here. http://www.easyworship.com/easyworship/switch/
