Sunday Plus Not saving Songs Hello all, I am using Sunday plus 2.42. Win xp, When I try to save simple changes to an existing song they do not take effect unless I rename the song or create a whole new song. I thought I had seen this problem before but I can't find the post now. I have not tried reinstalling Sunday Plus I was hoping there was another fix? Thanks Dustin

If it was a read only thing it would not write the new file to the same place. Like when I am trying to save changes to "Victory in Jesus" I have to save the file as like "Victory in Jesus 2" or the changes will never take effect. I will try the admin account, It would be weird for that to just now be happening I have been using this computer several months with the same account setup. I tried to register for Sunday Plus forums a long time ago and I never could get in. Not sure why? I still like Sunday plus. I use it with a couple of other things like Freepath and VlC and I run my power points outside of Sp. Thanks Dustin

I had the same problem with Sunday Plus using Vista. If you make the changes and simply save the file, as opposed to save as and renaming the file, it would save the changes in a new directory. I want to say the new directory was buried in a hidden folder inside the Users folder. Try searching the PC for the file name you are editing. You should see two copies of the file. One will be in Program Files\Grass Roots\Sunday Plus 2.4 Media and the other will be the newly saved file. I think the problem is caused by having more than one user account on the computer. To keep it from happening, I deleted the guest account I had set up. Before I realized what was causing it, I kept a shortcut to the hidden folder Sunday Plus was saving everything in on my desktop. Anytime I would save something, I would go into the other folder and cut and paste the newer version of the file into the Grass Roots\Sunday Plus 2.4 Media folder. Since I deleted the other accounts on the PC, I have not had any problems with this. Kind of a pain to fix either way, but I like the program, it does what we need it to, I know how to use it, and it is already paid for. So, I put up with an ocassional annoyance like this one.

I don't think it is only a Vista issue. Dustin said he uses XP, so it sounds like it is caused by having multiple user accounts on the PC. Sunday Plus wants to save the files for each user instead of for the computer. Steve

Sunday Plus has to be run in the administrator account. I do not have this problem in XP or Vista. If you always use "save as" then you will know where it is being saved. The songs and media files also need to be in the administrator account. I know this because I tried it a long time ago, and also posted it to the Sunday Plus forum ages ago. Mark was there in those days.

Sorry, haven't been around these parts, crazy busy. I too would suggest as was said here, try to run as administrator. If that does not work get in touch with me or you could go to the Sunday Plus site and request a call back and get tech support directly that way. Plenty of good users here too. Mike
