It's not about truth. Nobody has a problem with the facts being stated.

The problem is that these conversations tend to go beyond facts...
to value judgments, to speculation, and quite often even into gossip.

I think Dan raises an excellent point. When one is feeling wronged by something or someone, it is very easy to add speculation on the internal reality of the situation as if it were fact.

I'm not saying anyone here is doing that, but in general things often go that way.

INWYSIHYSI -- I try to practice this 100% of the time, but I have little patience for people who don't - and then it makes it hard for me to practice what I preach.

so maybe I'm alone here, but I'm pretty cluless as to what INWYSIHYSI means....

There are time when I read the latest topic I think that maybe some don't have enough to keep them busy. Leave the keyboard and clean out the garage, or pick up a good book.

"I'm not waiting you silly ignorant hideous young stupid idiot."

But apparently not.
