moving towards nice, pro lower thirds? We use sunday plus for a number of reasons and were pretty happy with it. Currently we use a basic lower third white writing on black background for lower third info like the speaker, message title, sermon notes, and child/nursery call. We want to move into something like what digital juice makes and keep a standard format. Does anyone do this? what do you use? how does it work? we dont really have to have moving lower thirds, although it would be nice, but just something updated. thanks for your comments.

well, I was going to point you towards the MXC-I've got a few lower thirds stills (one full frame over black, and several just by themselves), and one sample lower third over a motion background with some transparency. For what it's worth, the MXC is a great value-tons of graphics in there. Your idea is a good one-dress up the lower thirds a bit. To me the main idea is to add "stickiness" to the screen, "capturing" the eyeballs. Great for lyrics and the like.

We use a set of images behind the different parts of the service (songs/hymns and the sermon get their own backgrounds) that are sort of lower-thirdish. I've used ndean's "drift" set, and a number of sets I created myself. The colors are chosen to go with the different liturgical seasons. Each set gives a different feel to the service, but is connected by the common elements and colors of the backgrounds. I see you're not a Pro member, so you'll only be able to see the thumbnails, but here are some examples from different sets to give you an idea: Any of these would adaptable into true lower thirds.
