| A leko or ERS is a light that has a very sharp edge to the beam. Also, due to the assembly of lenses, it can cast shadows with sharp edges like the sun. There are just a few LED lekos made but they are realllllly expensive. There are LED movers that can do a gobo as well.
Really wide angle beams (+45deg) are hallmarks of fresnel, scoop and cyclorama fixtures. Frost gels can expand the beam of most lights. I'm a big fan of "silk" gels such as Rosco 104 that spreads a beam sideways but not up and down. Check it out, it's hard to describe but very handy for lighting a background.
