Brilliant!

How many addresses does it take? What parameters can you control?

I would think it might be more useful pre show or during long lighting programming setups.

That would be nice. Have it start brewing at Cue 14 and it should be finished right when we are in between services.

But I have heard of people hooking things like that up to regular outlets.

New and improved

Very handy and now, the new Mark II DMX/RDM version.....(from web site)

"Finally! The DMX Coffee Pot, first introduced at LDI '96, is available for purchase. Previously only available by lease, Doug Fleenor Design follows the lead of many moving light companies by allowing their leading edge technology to be purchased outright. Doug Fleenor believes operation of the Mark II is simple enough that the exhaustive three week training course has been eliminated. The Mark II DMX Coffee Pot features internal termination (there is no feed through), and remote address setting (there is no DMX address switch). Remote address setting is accomplished via RDM making this the first (and only) RDM Coffee Pot as well."

So now the coffee pot can report back to you when the coffee is done!

I think those are going the CAT-5 route so that they can be triggered by PING commands.

Each year for LDI, Doug generally does some interesting DMX controlled device...

Let's see if I can remember some...

The Coffee Pot (original - non-RDM version)
DMX Shock Collar for followspot operators
DMX Controlled Etch-A-Sketch
DMX Foot Massager

So...yes, there's been plenty of "fun" items....
