| Yeah, churches generally lag behind the theater/industrial world. They have been doing things like this forever in theater/concerts/industrial shows. I think the great thing about what Camron does (and I am attempting to do) is make it affordable for churches. Of course this requires some compromises. For example in a theater/concert setting we would want that background brighter and to have it stand out more (think 10000 lumen projectors) because we don't always have perfect control of our lighting. But in a room where you can control the lighting very well, you can do it with projectors with less power. I love working with projectors. Mike |

| You can use cheaper projectors I would recommend buying/renting the brightest projectors you can afford, but if you can control the ambient light in the room cheaper projectors will work. Just this last weekend, I used a setup involving 6 projectors for a youth retreat. We had 3 projectors placed in "normal" position for lyrics and sermon illustration videos, and 3 3K lumen projectors at the back of the room doing wall to wall moving backgrounds, like cameron's setup. Our rooms capacity was about 1000 people. We used Mediashout to play background loops or still images sometimes for the slower more reflective worship, but mostly we used Winamp & milkdrop doing line in visualizations. The students really got into the backgrounds moving with the music, especially for the fast & loud songs. Overall, it definitely landed on the rock concert side of the concert or worship debate but the students loved it. We will do it again, but I would like brighter projectors.... |

A cheaper alternative is to stack projectors, use two projectors (preferably the same) and settings the same, and focus them both at the same place, with careful alignment it does work, seen it many times. |

| Yeah, but you have to be VERY precise with stacking and you have to make sure that the projectors will not move. Even 1/16" off and it will look terrible. Mike

| I have done it with everything from 2500 lumen classroom projectors all the way up to 10000 lumen commercial units. Different tools for different jobs. Mike
