Video Challenges

hello all:

We have been having issues running video in Song Show. It's not the computer, video runs fine in media player and quicktime player.
Sometimes the whole system freezes.
has anybody had this issue?

Are you running the most current update? Presently that would be the SSP 7 December 2009 Edition Update 04/13/2010

Quite often these are codec issues. I would give their tech support a call and let them take a look at the issue.

Can you give us some more information. What version of SSP are you using? What OS, Graphics Card?

What format is the video? .avi, .mov, .wmv, .mp4, etc.

Have you installed any codec packs on your system?

Sounds like a video codec issue. GoFishMedia LLC Support may need to run a program on your computer to evaluate what codec's are installed and causing video playback conflict. You can email or call support and the team can assist you. The team can dial into any SSP computer you are having a problem with. Sorry for the vagueries (spelling?)!

Songshow plays the videos. When we test the videos run fine. It seems the longer SSP (yes, most recent update) is open, the more likely it is to fail/skip/freeze/cause assoc. pastor to pick up comm phone/cause me and media coordinator to climb stairs rapidly (and she's often in heels)/etcetera.

I don't have the specs handy, but it's a Dell Precision T3500. It is an Nvidia card, I don't remember the model
