Worship Expo 2011

Headed to Tampa today for Worship Expo 201, I hope to come away with new ideas and ways to enhance the worship experience for our congregation. Breakout sessions from Tom Stanziano on lighting, Bill Thrasher on audio, Doug Whitney on team building, Allen Hendrix on using social media. Lot of stuff to absorb in a couple of days. Maybe I will see some of you Churchmedia members there.

48 hours of of all things worship something for everyone musicians, choir, soloist, technical the best $90.00 anyone could spend for all the sessions you get and for tech guys like myself the time that I spend worshiping without the worry about does the mix sound good? I need to make sure get the que right on that video well you get the point a chance to raise my voice in praise without those worries working in technical on Sunday can have and effect on that intimate worship. The expo only happens once every 2 years I would encourage those who can get away in 2 years to attend you get to rub elbows and talk to and learn from some of the best technical guys such as Bill Thrasher he was the sound engineer for Billy Graham Crusades for many years, Tom Stanziano - Lighting Director - Lakewood Church (Joel O'steen) for several years, Doug Whiney -Director of Video and Lighting at First Baptist Church Woodstock in Woodstock, GA, Allen Hendrix - Minister of Communications for Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA.
