Hello all,
For those who may want to know more about where I come from.
I spent approximately 10 years working professionally in technical theatre. I spent time building sets, setting up and running audio, and the last four years in charge of the lighting in a 2000 seat road house. (A theatre that mostly presents touring shows for 1 or 2 nights at a time. We ran over 100 a year.) I have worked arena rock to coffee houses and rap to classical piano.
I eventually got out of that to get a job that paid enough to raise a family.
After a few years off I am now volunteering at local churches. I recently designed the lighting for a local church's musical and am helping to design and integrate the AV in my church's new addition. (Currently just infrastructure wiring until we pay off the construction
).
I am joining here to try and share my industry knowledge and ask questions in the areas where I am not as strong. I did a lot of lurking before one project and figured it was time to join.
