| Hello from Alabama! I have always been a bit of an electronics nut, and I have always loved music. As a kid, I learned a bit from my dad about stereos, video, and CB radios. I wound up majoring in Mass Communications with an Electronic Media concentration, and that served to make me the most qualified person to hold the camcorder at family gatherings for several years. Back in 2000, I was asked to run the soundboard (Mackie 32 channel analog) for a Sunday evening service because the regular sound guy was out. I survived it, then I sat and watched the regular guy do it for a few weeks until I was comfortable and I ran it a few times a month. When the church expanded its video ministry from a single camcorder to 3 cameras with a Videonics switcher and a stack of VCRs, I moved up to the video control room. A couple of years later, we mounted projectors and I moved down to the presentation computer to run MediaShout. Once I trained someone else on that, I moved back to the soundboard. In 2009, my wife and I felt the Lord leading us to make a change, and after speaking with the ministerial staff to make sure we left on good terms, we began seeking a new church. Once we landed at our new church home, I waited (rested) a few months and then I began helping in the sound booth for the worship team rehearsals, but then I was asked to start singing. I was involved however in the churches decision to purchase the Yamaha 01V96 and our recent acquisition of 2 JBL AM5212/66WH loudspeakers 2 JBL ASB6118 subwoofers and 2 QSC PLX 2502 amplifiers. After the engineers were done, they sound amazing and they make my Bass Guitar sound good too! ![]() |
