First Easter as a married couple for my wife and I!

We had 2100+ attendees in 5 services. Over 50 first time public decisions with an unknown number of private ones.

Nearly flawless services for the first time with a lot of media (but not a lot of live creative elements).

There was a pastor from another church who resented our pastor for a long time. Today was the day when this was reconciled because everything that this guy heard about our pastor was not true to his discovery.

We have 6 to 10 times more resources than the average church and because of that, sometimes our pastor is perceived as being disingenuous and having improper motives. So this resentful pastor visited our church for the first time and was amazed to learn that our pastor has a heart for souls and truly cares about the spiritual well being of the congregation.

And this reconciliation was somewhat of a segue into the pastor's sermon because he was teaching about how God has his system set up to where we cannot operate successfully without working together and depending on each other. In his sermon he explained how our church had the solution to most of the resentful pastor's challenges but because he considered our church to be more of a foe than friend, he made it impossible to receive the help that we had available to him.

So long story short, we made some friends today who probably would have otherwise thought of us as an enemy without really knowing why. And that was indeed an amazing thing that took place this Easter.

What a wonderful thing! Reconciliation and resolution are such blessings, leading to relationship! I pray your two churches may join in God's work together!

Resurrection Sunday was terrific for us, both spiritually and technically. The only glitch for us was the kick drum head splitting in the main auditorium. A little gaffers tape got us through the rest of service.

We have been having illustrated sermons for the prior 4 weeks to Easter, we had Peter, the false witness, the whipping post, the cross builder. Easter we had the soldier who won the lot and the soldiers who guarded the tomb. However we are not yet done. This week is the road to Emmaus, next week is Mary and Martha (3 years after the resurrection), then the week after we will be revisiting the cross. 8 weeks of Easter, it has been our goal to let people not just see or hear Easter, but to feel it. We have had several salvation's, numerous re-dedications, and healings. Each week has built on the week prior, and pieces of the previous weeks sets or experiences are still in place in our sanctuary. I am looking forward to how God uses the last weeks of this series to bring His people closer to Him.
