Any good Palm Sunday (or other Pre-Easter) stories?

Do you have something you'd like to give praise for?
A funny story?
Or even a concern to share?

Please tell us what's happening in your church.
It can be specifically media ministry oriented, but doesn't have to be.

Today we had the Superintendent visiting our church. Not only that, but the Bishop was here AND he gave all three morning sermons. These guys were here to help consecrate our building (it is our one year anniversary in the new building), so at one point we had 5 live mics on stage (we rarely have more than two). (In the photo, from left to right: Congregational Lay Person, Superintendent, our Worship Minister/Associate Pastor, our Senior Pastor, and the Bishop.)

AND, on top of all of this and our normal choir and larger-than-normal praise band, we had the bell choir ring one song AND our youth choir and children's choir joined up to sing a song, so we had every choir microphone we have (6) in use at some point (another rarity).

*Whew* Yes, it was a stressful morning! From here, Easter should be EASY!

Palm Sunday has always been for us when the Children come in about half way thru the worship set to sing a couple of song. As for the week after is Easter and we worship with a adult choir which only happens twice a year.(Christmas and Easter)

So today we did this:
Sing, Sing, Sing
You are good
Jam while kids come in
-3 Kids songs from their summer VBS that they have been learning all year-
Annoucments
Offering song
Message
Closing Song-
Today was also commitment Sunday. The whole month we have been talking about our Dare U2 move campaign, we are moving on with plan B of our property, to build a 1,000 seat Worship Center. So during the month of March everyone had prayer booklets and on the 23 day which was Today we presented our commitment card to pledge how much we would give at one time or over a three year period.

We will go for years without a battery failure on stage or interruption with noise, etc.

We got both yesterday. The Pastor's transmitter battery failed toward the end of service. We always have a backup stick mic, so he grabbed it and continued while we changed out his transmitter battery. He is so gracious! He thanks us and just keeps going. We step up, change the battery, and step down.

Then we got some noise, which I think was patch bay cables that need exercising. But we kept it under control, the Word was preached, and folks were blessed.

@nathantobin posted on Twitter yesterday: "Solo mic battery #fail fir big climactic ending. Oy, an otherwise perfect day. #ctdrt"

Just goes to prove: Check the batteries early and often!

Some of you know that we had major trouble at our church a couple of years ago due to misconduct by our youth director. As it all fell out, we lost the vast majority of the congregation.

God has just started to rebuild us numerically, and for the first time in 3 years we were able to do a Palm Sunday musical service. It wasn't quite as big of a production as it was 3 years ago, but it was good. I'm thankful to God for his faithfulness.

Plus, on a miscellaneous note, we FINALLY started using a 2nd projector as a confidence monitor for the worship team, and that totally rocks! Although we're pretty good about being on the same page, it's good they now know when the computer operator didn't catch that they were repeating the chorus a 3rd time instead of going on to the bridge, and they can adjust appropriately. (Not meaning they don't sing the chorus a 3rd time, but maybe they have to feed a line or two to the congregation until the projectionist gets the lyrics on the screen.)
