Screen Cleaning

I did something slighty stupid, and left a folded up screen surface leaning against a box, which had a bit of vivid marker written on the side of it.

I'm sure you can guess what happened, the vivid has transferred onto my screen surface, and i'm looking for hints on how to get it off without ruining the surface. I have tried water at a cloth, but it did nothing.

Any suggestions?

Thansk

what's the manufacturer of the screen? I have a pdf from Dalite for cleaning a fast-fold screen. PM me if you want it.

Its a da-lite one, but an older model, probably pre-fast fold days i'd imagine, but the same sort of idea.

Just be careful of the type of screen surface, for example front projection beaded screens that used to be so popular may not be washable at all, even wiping them will start to remove the glass beads, while matte white surfaces are usually a bit more forgiving.

Haven't had any luck thus far. THe vivid marks have faded slightly, but they aren't going anywhere at the moment!
