| Grandview Screen So I had my first experience with a Grandview screen last night... I hung a new Grandview Cyber series motorized model (9'x12') in our auditorium. Con - heavier than comparable size econo screens from Draper or Da-Lite (D or D) Pro - good quality Pro - Somfy motor-in-roller. Same motor as D or D Pro - Fast moving screen and quiet when rolling up or down Apparently you can buy these in the USA... although I don't know who is carrying them... but they are distributed here by a company called Grandview Screen Canada. Here is a LINK There are local dealers in Canada and I purchased from a good one here in Edmonton. In any case... I was quite impressed with the quality... the screen I dealt with was heavy... uses a motor-in-roller design and certainly comes across as being of superior quality to many of the screens I have dealt with from Draper or Da-Lite. (I have spent years in the AV industry and have hung dozens of screens ranging in size from 6 feet wide to 38 feet wide) Overall... in comparison to a Draper or Da-Lite screen I would say our church saved about $600 (Cdn). Oh, and the screen was delivered one week from when I ordered it. FWIW. I will likely purchase more of these in the future... ![]()
