Tripod vs Pull up screens

for high portability with a possible future of being more fixed, which screen is better to use. Is one more stable then the other? or is it just a matter of preference?

in general-and of course there are exceptions-I've found pull ups more stable-if you have a very flat surface to work with. Uneven terrain, however, for whatever reason, is much more easily navigated by tripod bases.
