Help controlling a Sony VPL-EX3.

Hi there! and thanks for letting me register. I hope i can help you all with some problems you have, but now i am in trouble controlling this projector and this is why i am asking for help.
I have tried to make a communication with the projector via RS232, but i can't send and receive anything. If someone know how to control it i will be very happy . BTW, i am new here nice to meet you all, i am not an expert in some things, but i can help with software and with Apple stuff. Thanks in advance, i upload datasheet from the projector.

Hi there! i have been able to communicate to the projector now. My problem now is that i can't really POWER ON/OFF this one and the SONY VPL EX-3. Anyone can help me? thanks in advance.

Working now perfect, i can help you all with this kind of projectors now. If you need help just read well "simulate infrared by rs232" in the pdf. oh my.... thanks !!!

Sorry tzeeth - I didn't see your original post for some reason otherwise I would have replied.

Good to see that you have sorted your problem out though. Also great to see that you posted the protocol manual for the projector - this is a very useful reference and saves us wasting time hunting the internet for the relevant manuals to help people out.

We have just purchased ourselves a new Mac for audio recording (replacing our ******* PC) and are looking to upgrade to the new Studio Master software for controlling our LS9 mixer desk once Yamaha have tested the compatibility with the Lion O/S (and probably fixed some issues like we had with the audio interface for recording). So I may be calling on your Apple skills...
